Nx
Nx is a remote access solution that is much faster than VNC or X11 forwarding over ssh. It works over ssh, to enable security. You can find the instructions for installing nx on a Fedora Core machine at http://fedoranews.org/contributors/rick_stout/freenx/. Those instructions worked fine for me on Fedora Core 5. However, I had to do a few other things to get nx to work on Fedora Core 4. First, I had to make two corrections to nxnode, as discussed here, to get the nx server to work. I also had to use the client from http://www.nomachine.com. I highly recommend trying nx. Forwarding a whole remote desktop using nx was much faster than using the X11 forwarding over ssh for a single application.
